Production

From fleece to fabric, under one roof

Spinning, dyeing, weaving and finishing all happen at our mill in Margilan. That is why we can answer for every metre, and why we can change any stage when a buyer needs something different.

The route of a worsted cloth

Seven operations, each checked before the next.

  1. Clean wool fibre arrives

Wool is sorted by fineness and staple length. The fibre decides how soft, warm and durable the finished cloth will be.

  2. Combed and spun into worsted yarn

Combing lays the fibres parallel and takes out the short ones. The yarn that comes off the frames is smooth and strong, the basis of a crisp worsted cloth.

  3. Dyed in the yarn

We dye the yarn before it is woven, so colour goes right through the cloth and stays even from lot to lot.

  4. Woven in twill

On the looms, warp and weft interlace into twill and gabardine. The diagonal rib you see on our uniform cloth is made here, one pick at a time.

  5. Washed, set and pressed

Finishing relaxes the cloth and fixes its size and handle. Our fabrics leave the mill low-shrink, so a garment keeps its fit.

  6. Checked against the standard

Weight, strength, abrasion, shrinkage and colour fastness are tested by ISO methods before a lot is released.

  7. Rolled, ticketed, shipped

Every bolt leaves with a ticket: article, colour, composition and weight. We deliver across Uzbekistan and abroad.
